Jan. 19 “Colorado Chamber Office Hours”: A business lobbyist previews the session

Meghan Dollar, Colorado Chamber of Commerce Senior Vice President of Governmental Affairs, gets interviewed for the "Colorado Chamber Office Hours" podcast.

On this week’s episode of the “Colorado Chamber Office Hours” podcast, host Ed Sealover sits down with Meghan Dollar, senior vice president of governmental affairs for the Colorado Chamber of Commerce, for a wide-ranging preview of the 2026 legislative session that kicked off Wednesday.

Dollar, entering her 15th session at the Capitol, lays out the biggest bills of concern for business in the session that will run through May 13, including potential regulatory increases, the return of the attempt to modify the Colorado Labor Peace Act and the continuing effort to draw up artificial-intelligence rules. But she also discusses potential proactive opportunities, including a bill from Senate President James Coleman that could bring about comprehensive regulatory reviews.

The episode — hosted by Sealover, the editor of The Sum & Substance and vice president of strategic initiatives for the Colorado Chamber — is the third of the new podcast, which so far has featured legislative leaders laying out their goals for the session. A new episode of Colorado Chamber Office Hours drops every Monday morning on the channels where you can find your favorite podcasts.
